When visiting Dripping Springs, you may come thinking that Central Texas has little to see in the way of exotic wild animals. We are happy to report that Dripping Springs is close to the Exotic Resort Zoo, a unique animal resort that is full of exotic animals living here in Texas. This exciting attraction lets you see some incredible wildlife up close such as zebras, camels, kangaroos, bison, and so much more. Drive Through Exploration
When Exotic Resort Zoo first opened it was a drive-thru only experience. Guests would drive their own vehicles and explore the zoo from designated roads. This year, the drive-thru experience is now back! Due to COVID-19, the Exotic Resort Zoo had to get a little creative in the way they allowed guests to explore the park while staying safe. Guests are given a map of the park and allowed to roam as they see fit. This is the perfect option for those who want to explore on their own or not have to worry about lengthy guided tours. All guests who do a drive-thru must be in a closed top vehicle. Drive-thru is available during the week and weekends.
Guided Tours
For those who want to interact with the knowledgeable zoo staff, make sure to pick the guided tour option. Guests will ride on a caged trailer as they are taken around the park. You will be able to purchase animal feed that the local critters will love to eat right out of your hand. Share the trailer with other guests or reserve one exclusively for your group. Due to COVID restrictions, the guided tour is only available Monday through Friday.
