HomeDripping Springs Top 5sTop 5 Brunch Restaurants

Sunday brunch is one of life’s greatest luxuries, starting late so you can sleep in or go to church and offering a menu filled with not just breakfast items, but often lunch and dinner items as well. There are no rules to enjoying brunch, and as you sip on mimosas or a Bloody Mary, you may find yourself realizing that these moments spent at any of the following top five brunch restaurants are going to be the ones you remember most! Oh, and in case you were wondering, Dripping Springs brunch isn’t just reserved for Sundays; these special restaurants offer Saturday brunches as well!

Crepe Crazy, 3103 S Lamar Boulevard in Austin

When you sit back and really think about it, crepes are actually the perfect food. Filled with your favorite ingredients, they can be sweet (think about that Nutella and banana crepe you ate on the streets of Paris), they can be savory (add some chicken, mushrooms, and cheese and you have a French version of a burrito), or they can be both pleasing all your taste buds with a mixture of granny smith apples, brie, honey, and walnuts! Crepe Crazy may not have a specific brunch menu, but their menu filled with everything crepe lends itself to brunch-like occasions, and you don’t have to wait until the weekend to enjoy your favorite meal for brunch in Dripping Springs!

Homespun Kitchen & Bar, 131 E Mercer Street in Dripping Springs

We can’t get enough of the Homespun Kitchen & Bar’s Sunday brunch, so don’t be surprised if you run into some of our I Love Dripping Springs staff when you take your turn with the brunch menu! Offering standard breakfasts that are anything but run of the mill, you will fall in love with their HKB Crab Cake Benedict, and their Southwestern Style Chicken Tenders and Waffles may become your new obsession. Also offering a Munchkin Brunch menu for less adventurous palates, this family friendly restaurant is simply brunchy!

Sawyer & Company, 4827 E Cesar Chavez Street in Austin

Saturday and Sundays are generally everyone’s favorite days of the week and are even more so when you get to sample the offerings from the brunch menu at Sawyer & Company in Austin! Brunch is held from 9 AM until 3 PM, and their meals prepared with a Louisiana flair include gumbo, deviled eggs (with praline bacon!), fried chicken biscuits, and muffulettas, all of which reign supreme at the brunch tables. Creole Shrimp & Grits will make your mouth water, created with pan seared shrimp in garlic butter, bacon, mushroom, and creole sauce and cheesy grits make this dish the one that will haunt your dreams!

Tillies, 3509 Creek Road in Dripping Springs

Our choices for the number two and number one spots were actually the most difficult spaces to fill, not because there weren’t enough good options but because there were too many incredible ones! We ended up choosing Tillies for number two but trust us when we say that it’s really tied for first! Tillies’ brunches are held on Saturday and Sundays from 10 AM until 2 PM and offer menus filled with incredible dishes that will make you fall in love. Prime Beef Chicken Fried Steak made with hatch chile gravy and brussel sprouts, Bacon Hash served with sunny side up eggs, hot smoked salmon that combines goat cheese, avocado, red onion, and focaccia bread taste even better when washed down with a silky smooth breakfast martini! We were just as surprised as you to discover that such a thing existed but the combination of Dripping Springs gin, Triple Sec, and orange marmalade soon convinced us that breakfast martinis are a beverage we could get definitely get used to!

Dripping Springs Brunch at Josephine House, 1601 Waterston Avenue in Austin

Josephine House has become an Austin tradition. It is the sister restaurant to Jeffrey’s (which is located right next door) and offers an extensive brunch menu filled with your favorite dishes that are all exquisitely prepared. On your quest for brunch in Dripping Springs, You’ll find such creations as avocado toast prepared with locally sourced ingredients such as a house made hot sauce, lime zest, and a sunny side up egg; lemon ricotta pancakes topped with strawberries, blueberries, and maple syrup; and the classic steak and eggs. These are just a few of our favorite bites, but please feel free to choose the meal that catches your eye first! Every meal on their brunch menu, which, by the way, is served every day from 9 AM until 3 PM, is delicious, healthy, and memorable.
