Sometimes when you visit an area for the first time, you get really lucky. You find the perfect home in the perfect neighborhood, and you begin to feel as if everything you touch turns to gold as you enjoy living the good life. And then there are other vacations—ones that perhaps you don’t want to talk about too much, as you remember being far away from all the best attractions and activities and spending the majority of your trip in the car going one place or another. (Or something much, much worse!) Those are usually the gambles you take as you explore the world one city at a time, but in this and so many other ways, your visit to Dripping Springs promises to be different. I Love Dripping Springs wants your Texas vacation to stand out from all the others just as much as we want you to be comfortable, happy, and spoiled in your vacation accommodations, and as such, we have prepared this guide for you. The best Dripping Springs places to stay will always be with us, but for you and your unique needs, at least one home in one neighborhood will be a shining star!

Settlers Ridge

The beauty of Texas Hill Country is reflected in the homes you will find in this quiet gated neighborhood located far enough away from the downtown area of Dripping Springs to feel as if you are in a private and secluded world of your own, yet close enough to ensure your vacation journey isn’t an endless one in which you are stuck behind the wheel! Located just off W Highway 290, guests who choose this beautiful neighborhood will be able to easily get to wherever they choose to play, and for those who may be planning the destination wedding of their lifetime in the wedding capital of Texas, Morgan Creek Barn (formerly known as Saddle Creek Weddings) is less than a few miles from this neighborhood. Located at 700 Farrell Lane, you and your bride or groom can make your vows in a Texas-sized barn built specifically for weddings, and the happiest day of your life will shine through all the pictures taken.

Another popular activity in beautiful Dripping Springs is wine tasting, offering up some of the sweetest grapes in the world. Graveyard Vineyards, located at 5258 Bell Springs Road, is almost within walking distance of the Settlers Ridge community. Based out of California and offering this second location right here in Dripping Springs, the wines you sip here are even sweeter because you know you can purchase more bottles through the Graveyard Vineyards website whenever you run out of your favorites. You don’t have to come back to Dripping Springs, but we think it will be no hardship, especially when you choose to stay in one of our I Love Dripping Springs Settlers Ridge escapes.

Offering luxury and a hill country charm that will make you fall in love, two of our most popular properties, Quit N Time Ranch and Magnolia, are nestled into five secluded acres of prime Dripping Springs real estate. Rent each separately, or if this is the destination wedding we spoke of earlier, rent them together and enjoy a Texas-sized party that you will never want to end! Featuring a private swimming pool and hot tub, multiple out door entertaining areas including one creek side paradise offering a walkway through a forest of oak trees and a quiet serenity that will soothe your tattered soul, and its own private 4-hole golf course, the outside of the ranch will keep you entertained for hours. The interior boasts 6 luxurious bedrooms, an indoor theater, and a gourmet kitchen that will bring a tear to the eye of any chef who walks into its space. State-of-the-art televisions grace all the rooms, high speed Wi-Fi ensures social network scrolling will be uninterrupted, and a three-car garage are just a few more amenities you will find in our I Love Dripping Springs fantasy home in the Settlers Ridge community!

West Dripping Springs

Dripping Springs is known as the Wedding Capital of Texas, but West Dripping Springs can only be described as the gateway to wine country, making your upcoming Texas getaway a truly sweet escape! Located just off Highway 290, the road that takes you to all the wineries in the area, it is the perfect area to stay for a wine weekend with the gals, a romantic honeymoon with the love of your life, or a guys getaway filled with steaks, cigars, and visits to the local distilleries! Slowpokes Wine Tours ensure that you don’t need to worry about a designated driver, taking you to the top wineries in the region as well as local breweries and distilleries. The 290 Trail includes stops at Hawks Shadow, where delicious food trays are also served along with some of the best wines in the county.

Also located close to the downtown area of Dripping Springs, the shopping promises to be fun and fulfilling. Mercer Street is where many of the shops in Dripping Springs are located, including sassy boutiques such as Revel Wilde (330 W Mercer Street Suite 1) Vintage Soul (302 Mercer Street) and Panache (220 W Mercer Street Suite 3.) When dinnertime rolls around and hunger pangs demand attention, Homespun Kitchen and Bar offers farm to table delights and a menu that changes with the seasons. Located at 131 E Mercer Street, its setup is also great for large parties, something to keep in mind if you are here for a family reunion or a wedding!

As you may expect, West Dripping Springs is also home to another popular I Love Dripping Springs property, our Hill Country Ranch! Offering 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths and tucked away on a two-acre lot in the midst of the rolling hills of Dripping Springs, this special property is designed for relaxation and comfort. Spend your hours hanging out in the game room, watching your favorite shows on a 75-inch Sony Smart TV, or sleeping late into the morning in cloud soft beds! Outside, a crystal-clear pool and hot tub built for seven offers fun under the Texas sky and a gas firepit, picnic tables, and multiple places to sit, sip, and reflect on the beauty that surrounds you. A creek runs through the property and can often be the spot where timid deer step out each morning and evening to hydrate, and the mesquite and oak trees that dot the landscape shade you from the summer sun as they serve as homes for birds and other wildlife.
