Find Your Joy
Now that you have decided that Dripping Springs is where you want to be and have narrowed your choices down to our I Love Dripping Springs condos, it is time to take a peek at what you can expect from your condo adventures in comfort. Smaller doesn’t have to mean cramped, and when you step inside spaces that are filled with light, offering high ceilings and spacious rooms your first impressions will be of home and happiness. Open concept floor plans harbor no secrets, and as you follow the paths made from high-end materials, (Wood flooring is the most popular, but some of our condos may offer tile or even polished concrete as well.) the living room will be the first stop on our tour. With decor that reflects the serenity of our Texas Hill Country landscape, these rooms invite you to leave all your troubles behind and take a few minutes or more to relax and regain your energy.
Large sofas are soft and plush, and on a lazy afternoon provide the optimal napping experiences. There will always be that one chair that perks up a reader’s interest; sometimes overstuffed, sometimes oversized, and generally offering a place to rest your feet, these chairs are placed where the lighting is best, ensuring many hours of reading fun! Televisions, of course, are a mainstay in every living room and may be Smart ones streaming your favorite series or may offer cable access and all the channels that are near and dear to your heart. The pictures on these electronics will be clear and authentic, and on the occasional rainy night, can be put to use for binge watching as you snuggle under colorful throws, sip hot cocoa in the winter months or a cold beverage in the summer months, and stay up as late as you want, knowing the angry clanging of an alarm clock won’t be waking you up in the morning.
The dining areas of our classically beautiful condos will center the open spaces, providing another place for traveling companions to gather together. Some of our smaller condos may offer breakfast bar seating that can still be used in all the ways you would a dining room table—eating, playing games, or sipping coffee to help fortify you for the day ahead. Kitchens are often considered the heart of the home, and the ones in our condos are perfect examples. Providing all the modern conveniences that include high-end appliances large and small, (Keurigs, coffee makers, toasters, and the occasional blender for mixing frothy tropical drinks) these beautiful rooms may encourage guests to go as far as to create a meal or two during their stay! If not, they can be used to keep wine cold, (some condos offer wine chillers expressly for this purpose) coffee brewing, and as a place to store snacks that will often be devoured by the light of the stovetop in the middle of the night.
The Quiet of the Night
It can be harder to fall asleep in new places, but that is generally not a problem in our hill country condos! The bedrooms are designed to encourage a deep and restful sleep, providing a warm and neutral décor, comfortable beds, and sometimes, televisions to help ease the transition from wide awake to sound asleep. Some bedrooms may offer desks with office equipment because we know that some travelers may have to check in at the office; high-speed internet makes that chore easy. The compact size of our condos may not provide enough space for deep soaking tubs, but strong water pressure in the walk-in showers will help eliminate any knots in your muscles, while the occasional hot tub (community or private) will offer a romantic way to prepare for a good night’s sleep!
All the Amenities of Home
The fun and entertainment found in our larger homes doesn’t have to be sacrificed when you stay in a condo. As a matter of fact, many of our condos are actually studios or casitas attached on the property of our homes and offer access to many of the same amenities. Swimming pools and hot tubs, cornhole games, putting greens, hiking trails, and multiple places to sit and dine are just some of the exterior amenities available when you rent one of our I Love Dripping Springs. Even if you stay in a standalone condo, there will still be plenty of things to do. Gather around an outdoor fireplace with your traveling companion, roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories. Sit out on the deck with a glass of wine and toast the sun as it descends each evening. Or, for the early risers, roll out of bed in the predawn hours, brew a pot of coffee, and wait for the sun to ascend again. Your time spent in our condos is destined to give you some of the best memories and will prepare you for all the adventures you will experience during your visit to Dripping Springs.
A Glimpse into History
Dripping Springs offers wineries and shopping experiences, delicious restaurants, and an opportunity to explore where our town began with a visit to the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead, a spot that was once the home of one of our founding fathers. One of three families who came from Mississippi seeking new life in the west, Dr. Pound was the first doctor and his family resided in this meticulously restored home for over 100 years. Perhaps the original father of sustainable living, he developed a self-watering trough for his animals, collected rainwater in a cistern, and even grew herbs for healing and vegetables for health in an in-ground hot house that allowed the plants to grow during the winter months. Explore the grounds, examine the artifacts, and learn about the hardships these early settlers faced as they started new lives in a place that wasn’t easy to live in. Also a popular wedding venue, the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead could serve as the start of your new life together as you say “I do” under the big windmill surrounded by mature trees. Christmas visits are particularly special as the farmstead celebrates Homespun Holidays, offering a joyful old-fashioned Christmas experience which even includes a photo with Santa in a wagon on the property, something your kiddos will never forget!
